Davante J. Neves, age 22, passed away unexpectedly on Friday February 14, 2020, at Rhode
Island Hospital in Providence, RI. Davante was in the presence of his beloved family.
He was born July 30, 1997 in Providence to Dina F. Neves. Davante is survived by his two
daughters Dessence S. Neves and Dalilah D. Neves. He leaves behind his sister Destiny L.
Starks, Two Uncle’s Samuel F. Barbosa, Joao M. Neves, Two Aunts’s Kristy L. Pietrolaj, Natalie
F. Neves, Six Cousins, and his grandparents Eugenia and Joao Neves.
Davante was a devoted father to his daughters, he was outgoing, adventurous, and he loved the
outdoors. He was such a free spirit, loving, and caring individual. Anyone who came into contact
with him loved him and the presence he had.
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in
death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, For part of us went
with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our
guide, and though we cannot see you, you’re always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and
nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Viewing will be held Friday, February 21st from 4:00-7:00pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five
Higginson Ave.,Lincoln, RI. Repass to follow for close friends and family.
